I dont know why there would be such a thing. The credit card number is so that they can track your down and steal your money if you try and screw someone. Without that, there isn't much security about it. I guess there may be someplace, but I wouldn't wanna trade there.

Makes sence, but I don't have my own credit card so...

Oh well. All is still good.

Go to a bank and open an account with a checkcard attached. It works well.

Hey SINND3R, I am an eBay member, and I never gave them any CC info, becuase I don't have one. I signed up when eBay was first starting out, and you didn't have to have a CC then. So there could be a bunch of eBay members not backed by CC numbers.

Krono, I think they do, or you could get a relative to add you to their CC account. My brother got injured in a grocery store, and when they refused to pay his medical bills, my mom sued them. She won, and he had like $12,000 in a bank account in his name when he was like 10. He got I don't know how many "you have been pre-approved" CC offers a year, lol.

Yes they do, I got my first credit card when I was 18, granted it only had a $1000 limit, but that was much higher than I could ever afford to run it up to anyway. I'm 22 now, and my limit has since been raised to $7000, still much more than I'd ever need.

18 is the age minimum. I'm 14
I know visa has a teens card out that I could get but I doubt my mom would get it for me. I will still look into a checking card for my back account.

Jenni, I too signed up when Ebay did not require a CC number. I am 16 and signed up when I was 13. However, you still need a CC number to SELL something... buying doesn't matter.

This is off topic, but I was just looking at your system specs and if you play games, you should get a better video card cuz with the system you have, it appears to be a bottleneck for video applications.

Like I said, that was just a random observation.

Nope, I sell stuff from time to time too. No CC required, as long as I don't go over the $10 credit limit, lol.

I have a check card

I have a check card with Bank of America and I am only 16, i got the card a year ago. You just have to have your parents go with you when you open an account. My name is on the actual card itself but when I get my statement in the mail it has my moms name underneath mine.

I set up an account at my bank (a local credit union) and they never mentioned anything about a CC. They gave me an ATM card, that's about it. Its a special student account, they wouldn't let me have a full account. I dunno, I'm sure there's some way to get around a CC number... if all else fails just tell your mom you need her's to sell something. Or wait til she's drunk and ask her... that's what I did when I bought my motherboard and processor... I charged about $400 on the CC but she didn't care cuz I had the money to pay it off.
