Thats pretty fast
But a speed like that is not too hard to get on a cable/dsl line from a good server. Download a large file straight from microsoft and watch it transfer at 300K +

I can get that + through our ADSL line at work without the download accelerator as stated above by going to a kick ass server.

Yeah, it all depends on what server you're downloadig the files from. Why not just post your Speed Test results:

I seriously got 700 kBps without download accelerator but it went down to a steady 500 kBps. If it ever happens again I'll screenshot it.

While the graphic was not real good in my previous post, the download WAS 530.4 KB/SEC according to the site.

Press the Print Screen button and it will copy the screen to the clipboard and you can paste it into something like Paint or what ever.

I didn't make it up. It was an actual screenshot. If I was going to make one up, I would have done better than 6.06MB/sec. Actually, I run a local webserver for development of pages. All my sites are mapped to xxx. instead of www. so that no confusion arises on which site that I am on. I do wish that I got that speed on the Net.

From my web server at home on cable, to my machine at work on ADSL (competing ISP's). Funny thing is it routes from Regina, to Vancouver to Seattle to California, then finally comes back to my machine which is less than 2 miles from this one.
