Angry Fire I just had the worst dream ever!

This is the complete truth. I just woke up from a dream. In this dream, I got the idea to install DOS on a dual boot with windows 2000(what i had) now, in real life, I know I should've probably put dos on first, if I could even do this at all. So i go along, make my little partition, boot to some floppy, and do the deed. The funny thing is, DOS had a loading screen much like XP, except the little bar was purple. Now, the thing that made this dream a nightmare. When I went back to 2k, it was just THRASHED! Only like half the words on the screen were there, like 2 things from every folder were there, no clock, funky colors, AHHH!!!! My 6 gigs of sweet sweet personal data was gone!!! I was freaking out! In the dream I went into the IRC chat for PC-Mech and talked to HPRO and some others, and someone just thought it was funny! I was dying! Then I wake up, and praise god when I realize it's just a dream. Wake up, go down stairs, and backup my documents on 4 cds.

True story.

Orcmonkey, you need a break!

I knew a guy who had a dream about a CPU he was working with. He was getting really stressed at work and at the peak, he dreamt that he was a CPU lying on a huge socket, with his fingers and toes stuck in the pin holes. As the peripherals sent him data he got electric shocks and he couldn’t pull free of the socket. His wife said that he was squirming about in the bed like a worm muttering something about “bits” and occasionally yowling out in pain. She thought it was funny, me, I am not so sure! Ha ha!

I have such dreams from time to time, especially when there is a big problem in my PC or in another PC I'm working on, maybe we need psycho therapy

Hold on... Let me pick myself up off the floor... That has to be the funniest story I've ever read!!!!!!

I've been thinking of building a new machine and have been talking to my better half about it... Well, I had a nightmare of my own!

In my nightmare, my wife wanted to be the nice gal she is and buy me a new computer... She brought home a brand new E-Machine!

Talk about being between a rock and a hard place... I didn't want to upset her by telling her what a waste of money it was and I didn't want that so called machine either!

I didn't know what to do... Glad I woke up and realized it was just a nightmare!

Just in case, I told her about the nightmare... Her reaction was she'd never buy me a computer... "The one I have is good enough!"

Last night I dreamt I was eating bland tasting mints, when I woke up this morning I had no buttons on my pyjamas.........and other old favourites.

Back in 1996 when I stayed until 0300 playing Doom I often had this dream: I was alone in dark corridors full of horrid things and the only thing I had was a shotgun. No matter how well I fought I always ended up slain by some beast. Those were real nightmares.

But when I stopped playing Doom and began playing Duke Nukem 3D, the dreams changed. In these new dreams I was again in dark corridors with a shotgun in hand, but this time I kicked a**.

Why the nightmares turned to enjoyable "action" dreams simply by switching the game it's something I've always found weird.
