What sports are you involved in?

Just wondered if any of the rest of you are still able to get out of your computer chair and enjoy playing some sports once in a while? What do you play?

I personally am a fanatic, so I cover the spectrum. Football, Street Hockey, Ultimate Frisbee, Golf, Frisbee Golf, skiing (snow & water), wakeboarding, softball, and basketball. There may be some more, but I don't really pursue them. So what do you guys / gals enjoy?

Nate

Marathon television watching, stay awake sprinting, chair lounging, chasing the kid olympics (the only strenuous one in the bunch), power PCMECH'ing. I used to be the Pepsi drinking champion, but I have since kicked caffine out of my life, so it's off my list (1 month clean )

I enjoy a good game of Tennis when I can. I played a lot years ago for my HS team, but stopped after I had too many classes to keep up with. Watch out for my backhand.

Mr N8: Check your PMs.

I like rachetball even though I haven't played in awhile - don't mind shooting hoops or just about any sport just for fun.

Then there's always mini putt putt!

I bowl during the winter and play a lot of softball during the summer. I also play a little golf and a little volleyball. Once a kid, always a kid (for 45 years). I'm also big time into fantasy football during the winter.

Used to play a lot of volleyball (jungleball really) before age, marriage, and kids thinned out our group. Ran sprints for exercise in the warmer months til my knee protested. I'd like to play volleyball again, or maybe some softball, but too many lazy a$$es around here.

Back to jogging a little again now though - trying to undo the damage IT has done to my body lol....

I'll watch just about anything -- well except fishing

When I participate in sports, I either play or compete. Racquetball, softball/baseball, golf and rugby (yes -- I was on the MSU club team). But tell me how we are 'playing' -- if you want competition, you'll get it, if you just want to play, fine there as well. Just tell me is all I ask -- if you hit a hard kill in racquetball after telling me you just want to 'play', I'll kill you on the court -- or die trying.

Cycling and floor hockey once in a while. As for definition of 'sport', if you can call fishing a sport, then so is billiard.

archie,
You bet billiards is a sport.
Too me, a sport is any pastime that taxes either your physical or mental capabilities or both and you have fun doing it.

Let's see, where to start? In the winter I will clamp just about anything to the bottom of my feet and go downhill so it starts out with skiing, (downhill, xc, telemark). Then spring hits and its time for golf, golf and more golf(I belong to 3 leagues), then the weekend sport of offroad dirtbikes (not mx but enduro's and harescrambles). Summer brings more of springtime sports. Fall, ditto. Oh and in the winter, I ride snowmobiles, if you count that as a sport.

Hmmm, sports as in competition, or just having energetic fun? For me it's fishing, water skiing, jet skiing and baseball. Do alot of one-arm curls as well.

I don't actually "play" many sports anymore but I am still highly involved. I am an assistant coach for the high school varsity football team, co-head coach for the JV football team, I am the youth softball director for our town, and I coach a youth volleyball team.

Of course I love fishing too. Need to relax after all that coaching. he he he

Played a lot of rugby till injury and arthritis (at the ripe old age of 29!) and a subsequent hip operation forced me to retire. Love my skiing, plus the odd bit of footie (soccer to our US friends) and basketball now and again. I also go to a lot of Ice Hockey games, if that counts.

As i live south of the Mason/Dixon line, I golf 10 or 11 months out of the year. But I also bowl (good opportunity to drink) and occasionally play softball.

Well it's soccer, basketball, and softball (although I haven't played in years) for me.

I shoot handguns. Not in any sort of organized, sporting way. Just a few hours a month practicing at the range.
