Music and computers

After spending so much time around here, I have noticed that alot of people here use there computer for music in some way or another, weather it be for recording or whatever. I play guitar, not like I used to (up to 10 hours a day) but still play, only for pure enjoyment now. Would it be possible (if more then just me thinks it's a good idea) to have some kind of picture, or MP3 showcase where anyone can upload some of there talent? It has been awhile since I have played in a band, never got to record anything digitally but it would still be fun to let others check it out, and of coarse check out what other people have done. Anybody else think this would be a good idea?

People can upload songs to www.mp3.com, so why not start there?
