what a rubbish day

I have had a great day today and I would like to share it with you all - My eyes are red and sore due to crappy pollen - I'm tired as hell and the heat aint helping - I get into work this morning and what do I find - a computer that boots up gets to just before windows bluescreens and re-starts - nice!

So I can't read any mails or do anything really - OK I think - I will fix it then - try to repair windows - it doesn't even know windows is there - have to reformat and re-install - sweet...

and then it still doesn't work properly - so I think OK back up the data - so I go to take the hard drive out of the machine and rip my finger open on the edge of the PSU when the power cable comes out - this hurts like hell and I'm left swearing in the middle of the office - of course I am now holding a hard drive in my hand which happens to be unusually hot - partially because it hasn't been turned off for ages partially because it's knackered half way through my swearing fit I notice a burning sensation and notice that my right thumb is now roasting quite nicely - more pain as I drop the hard disk and swear some more...

the flippin' machine still barely works - I think I'm going to claim devine retribution and hit it with a sledge hammer... but I'll probably miss and hurt myself if I try that - I hate today.

What like explaining to my boss why there are bits of silicon all over my desk and my computer has mysteriously dissapeared - I'm looking forward to that one....

oh well it works well enough to get on PCMech so things are suddenly looking up!

You can always overclock it and wait for the smoke to come up.

Don't touch anything dangerous today. Take the day off.
