Where to buy black PC components?

Title says it all -- looking for an internal Zip100 in black.

I've got a Zip100 internal and I've noticed the front panelling can be easily dissassembled. Buy a bog standard zip, take the front bits off and give them a black spray paint.

Sorry man, it was sold out there...didn't see that. If you do decide to paint, make sure you use some primer for plastic first. It will provide much better results

Good point, I spray painted a PC purple (!) for somebody once and when I seen it recently a lot of the paint had flaked off.

Found a couple. Don't know if the stores are reliable, though. You could check resellerratings on them.

Hmm, I'd strongly prefer a drive which was actually black plastic, as opposed to a beige plastic painted black.

I know manufacturers like Dell, etc. use drives with actual black plastic -- even if you scratch the plastic, it's still black through and through.

I've tried to contact Dell, see if they'll sell me a black drive, but still waiting for an answer back. Are any of these other places selling drives with actual black plastic?

Dell will sell you one for sure. You can find brand new Dell ones in black for a fraction of what you from a store on eBay.
