What really confuses me is why do some people register and never post?

Maybe they like the feelings of acceptance they get when it says "Welcome back X"

I wonder how many active posters there are. I know when I'm working out of the country I can go a few months without posting.

There are users in the Member List who posted when PCM was not still using vBulletin. It's kinda funny when you see their post count is 5 and when you check the last post field it sez "never".

Why is there so much emphasis on how many posts you have done. Surely it it the quality of advice you give???

well, if you don't post anything, then you can't be giving good advice. when you look at the members list, sorted by top posters, there are a lot of pages with people that have posted nothing... their accounts are just taking up space.

However, some of us spend most of the time asking questions. Most of my posts were and are questions. But since nobody flames here anyone, I'm not affraid to continue asking questions. And most of my questions are pretty dumb.
