Yeah, I just watched it. Who cares if the Majors go on strike, just signup some LL's who still play for fun. It was fun to watch.

it's about time!

i mean, it's an american pasttime... and i could've sworn that japanese pitcher was like 23 years old or something.

and the pros are going to be exposed for the greedy chump$ they are come 9-11, when instead of playing a time-honored american staple, they are off the fields complaining about a luxury tax.

This is why, even though I am within 40 miles of 2 major league teams and a third is about 100 miles away, I haven't been to a game in several years. However, we have a low class A minor league team about 5 minutes down the road - and I share season tickets with 3 other folks. I love baseball, but I just can't subsidize multimillion dollar salaries and put up with the whiny spoiled brats. Minor league is professional, this is true, but it's affordable and a lot of fun. I think a lot of others have this attitude now - in addition to our class A team, we have 4 other independent league teams in the metro area.

By the way - we average about 7000 attendance a game in low class A - this is incredible. There are days we outdraw major league games.

This is the first time I actually watched the LL World Series all the way through and it was alot of fun. I don't care about the majors anymore. I won't help to pay their salaries. Good riddens to them this year.
