I have a 14" TV that suddenly decided to be a B&W tv set. It started to go B&W the back to colour again intermitently. And is now perminintly B&W. Is it worth fixing? could i fix it myself? why would it suddenly change B&W? it does not matter if I cant fix it as I will just toss it out. But it would be nice to get it going again.
Thanks

in all collor tv's there is a circut called the color killer, what it does is turn off the 3.5mhz color oscellator that drives the color bandpass amplifers, its used for watching black and wite movies without the color static in the picture, it has a adjustment to set the sensetivity, a simple adjust of the color killer may fix the problem or it may be bad, the choice is what it would be worth to you to have it fixed.
