******!!!
I am about to get busy with that problem.
In the mean time, AMD has accused the folks at Sysoft of fudging the numbers in intel's favor and it looks like they have proof.

Never type in a hurry, I mean SYSmark 2000 not Sysoft.

Aug. 27.... NYT

AMD......said that when it's engineers explored the changes in the 2002 version of the SYSmark benchmark, the tasks that favored AMD had been removed, task that favored Intel had been added and several of the task that favored Intel had been repeated multiple times.
Over all AMD asserted that 14 tests in which the Athlon AMD had achieved its largest advantage over the Pentium 4 had been removed from the 2002 version of SYSmark.

" AMD certainly highlighted a number of interesting issues with SYSmark." said Nathan Brockwood, principal analyst at Insight64, a market research firm based in Saratoga California. " To the best of my knowledge those have not been resolved satisfactorily."

The full article is by John Markoff and is in the 8/27 edition of the New York Times on their web site.
It used to be possible to copy and paste NYT articles if you couldn't link to them directly but this is no longer the case ( and I'm not happy about it)
To find the article first click on business and then click on technology.
If you scroll past the current articles you'll find it listed under " other articles " at the bottom of the page.
