Twins OWN!
Contract that, Bud Selig! Minnesota Twins are going to the ALCS against Anaheim with home field advantage! Did anyone see the game? It was a good one...
Any other Twins fans here? |

Right here, Jake!
That was a great game, though Everyday Eddie sure had me clutching the arms on my couch in the bottom of the ninth! Still, it was an awesome game, and there is nothing better than seeing our team, once slated for contraction, going to the ALCS. So, Bud, how did your Brewers do in their new-fangled stadium? Oh, right, sure, I understand if you don't want to talk about it.

Gotta love'em! Been watching them for as long as I can remember. It's been an amazing year for them. Just goes to show you what you can accomplish when you don't know any better
. Anahiem won't be a push over. That's series will also go the distance, I think. Hope the Dome Magic holds true! Selig doesn't care if the Brewers' win a single game. As long as he's storing away the cash. OOPS!

I'm a diamondbacks fan first, but now that they are out of it I can root for my 2nd favorite team; the twins! and yes, that was a great game. I think the anahein series is going to be tough, but I'll be there watching every minute cheering on the twins from my couch in az.

I got mixed feelings - I LOVED to see Bud's nose rubbed in the $#!t but being from Chicago I have no love for the Twinkies. You folks from Minnenowhere are to be congratulated but I was rooting for the A's for 2 reasons - the abovementioned and the fact our local minor league team here is an A's affiliate.

As much as I liked seeing the Twinkies get somewhere, I think this is going to be real bad for MLB in the years to come. Every1 who has the ability to affect change to the system (which badly needs change), is going to look at this season and say that all is well with the game, and that there is competitive balance, while there isnt. And its going to go on, this season just being the "retooling" year for the Yankees and the Braves... waiting for the A's pitchers to get ripe for the harvesting...

I'm a KC Royals fan which means I quit watching baseball June 1 because by that time they are mathmatically out of it. he he he.
I have to root for my 2nd favorite, the Twins. I love to see them slam this right back in Bud's face. |

I am a Montreal Expos fan and I still beleive that Bud (Lite) Selig will be gone as commish before the Expos leave Montreal.
If Jeffrey Loria and his son David Gonesoon had built the downtown stadium as promised, the Expos would be drawing 35,000 plus to every game (especially with the team coming along the way it is). The Montreal Alouettes were drawing 2000-3000 fans per game when they were at the Olympic Stadium and when they moved to the downtown Molson stadium they have sold out every game for the past 2 years. Now Loria and Samson have decided to totally destroy the Florida Marlins and probably make about $60,000,000 in the process as they did with the Expos. The best part of all this is that they are doing it with Seligs blessing. Selig could not even make a decision on how to settle the All Star Game so he decided that a tie was the way to go (DUH!), how can this man possibly be an effective and convincing commisioner of MLB. BOB COSTAS where are you when we need you?

Well, at least for now baseball fans can see some real baseball with all the under dogs playing each other for the trophy. Should be some great games, this is what baseball is all about.
I used to be a hardcore baseball fan, but then the strike of 94 came along, then Puckett, my favorite player of all time, retired, then another near strike and contraction talks...it just isn't the same. Hopefully these playoffs can bring a few fans back into the game, and hopefully some of the smaller teams will begin to see that it is possibly to go to the series and we'll have some better games next year. But, if it's still the Yanks and Braves, I'm gone for good to the NFL... |

I've always liked the Cardinals myself. It could be another Twins-Cardinals matchup. They both have a lot of motivation going in.
