Not exactly lazyness. Have you ever wondered how much time does it take to check a hundred exams? When those exams are open questions? And all the time the principal is bothering you with "I want the results yesterday"?

Hi Nuclear Krusader.

I can see what you are saying and totally agree. I had a few courses last semster in university that had over a hundred and fifty students in the one class. The prof had a few forth year students to help mark, but he still must of had a pile himself. Plus a lot of the students askings him everyday when are our test going to be corrected. It's just that I have been getting some bad marks lately and was a bit mad at this type of questions. From now I will think about both sides of a subject before I post.

glc, not this summer as it gets too hot for anything living to stand. Now that cooler weather is here I'm either imagining noises from there or expect to before long. I do not want another winter like last. I do have some creative ideas this time, that doesn't include a bud with beer and gun camping out up there. BTW, I'd loved to have seen/heard him up there, but idea was nixed. The stories would have lasted a lifetime.

My main phobia's are heights and snakes. Tight places are close, but I like pushing my limits. I learned to live with snakes and have even pet a few friends' pythons and I have climbed on those climbing walls; one was even 4 stories high. Heights still get me most of the time, though. I plan to bungee jump one day and maybe even sky dive.

Bungee jump?

I'd only jump from one of those if my life depended on it.

My phobias are:

Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia-Fear of long words...AHHHHHH!

Kathisophobia--Fear of sitting down (yes, I am standing right now)

and finally,

Ablutophobia--Fear of washing or bathing.

By the way, has anyone noticed how nasty the world smells these days, or is it just me?

They have a few places in Gatlinburg that have bungee cords. I'll probably go there. I 've been kinda weak on the testing the limits for the past couple of months, though. When I am ready, I 'll get in touch with you. It shouldn't be more than a few months more.

My buddy talked me into bungee jumping one weekend. I've skydived a few times, and thought it would be no problem. Let me tell you, I will never bungee jump again. It scared the bejeesus out of me. The height must have been at my ultra freak out limit. Skydive = OK Bungee jump= Bad idea!

Spiders. AHHHHH, I hate those nasty things. I would rather eat a cockroach than have a spider on me.
And the Open Ocean. I love being in a boat fishing in 2000' of water, but as for being "in" the water, just go ahead and shoot me, cause I'm NOT getting in.

Ah, you must have seen "Jaws."
I remember in a scuba diving class, the first time I snorkeled to the bottom of Puget Sound. Just couldn't believe tha abundance of life on the ocean floor. There was among a myriad things a huge "carpet" of kelp just off the bottom undulating with the current. I was told to pick something from the bottom and bring it up.
I reached for a piece of wood that lay in front of a piece of clay pipe. Didn't the crab sitting at the mouth and when he darted backward into the pipe I actually shouted underwater in a startle.

I'm trying to teach my two boys 6&8 to not have fears but I can't quite overcome my phobia of snakes. last time we encountered one my boys both thought I should be as fearless as Steve Irwin (Croc Hunter), and they both wanted me to pick it up. I'm getting better , I'm not terrified but still don"t want to pick one of em up. He sure does make it look easy on Croc Hunter though doesn't he??

I hear you ktkendall. Once my GF tried to help me overcome my fear of insects by putting one on me! The moment she grabbed the grasshopper I jumped and ran. From a safe distance I told her to drop that dreadful animal immediately! We had a bitter discussion later. She never tried to help me overcome my phobia again.
