In plainer terms, it is that thing that you agree to every time that you install a piece of software that you never read.

Ahh, you were right Homer15, I checked again and something else was $10, but XP Pro was $17. It is unbelievable, but keep in mind that half the graduating class in the Computer Science Department probably leaves to work for Microsoft. :)

Respectfully,

Hi mairving and All,

Well, I just got mine ! I was beginning to wonder if something not-so-nice happened...

Dang, the box was bigger than my last order from NewEgg.com with a mobo! Like it was stated, it came with some goodies, too. Like a bobble head doll, an XP baseball in a clear display case, some bubble gum "chew", baseball cards, and, of course, XP Pro Full Version.

Now all I have to do is build a box with it...

Ordered mine 2nd week of OCT. nd just received it Thursday 12/05. Thanks for the Link, can't pass up a good deal. Actually didn't realize it but I have xphome upgrade version on mine and WinME full version in Kids pc. Didn't realize it but that is illegal accordind to EULA cause I used the WinME disk to validate the install of WinXp on mine and according to EULA that makes my copy of WinME not legal to use anymore. I'm legal and feel better about it now and for 40$.

I'll never be called "the party pooper" but something seems shady. Anyways, I've yet to see a bunch of stuff good about XP or perhaps I've been in a cave. I'll stick to Win98 SE, thank you very much.

It appears the program is ended. XP hasn't been selling as well as Microsoft would like. Perhaps passing out a few copies would entice someone to get the company to buy more.

It appears as it was a promotion to get companies to become Microsoft vendors. I'm sure even at 40$ they weren't loosing anything!

Hey,
Anybody want mine!??!

This thing has an Eddy "Reliable" Trustman Bobble Head Doll (this has never been opened), an MS Windows XP Professional Baseball encased in lucite (also still sealed and unopened), five WinXP Professional baseball cards that includes Joe "Fast" Speedman (these are all still sealed together in plastic), one bag of Big League Chew Bubble Gum in New Sour Apple Flavor! I ordered this for our new business computer but we've decided to sell the business (let me know if you're interested!). I've already sold the computer. The Software was never installed on any computer and it is still sealed inside the kit.

I'm using WinXP home now and don't see the need to change to Pro version. Not only that, but I could use the cash, ya know...it being the holidays and all.

Mine was an interesting story as I ordered the XP Pro in October and I got a confirmation screen giving my total and everything. I had almost given up on it because it never arrived and I hadn't been charged. Well, a couple weeks ago it did arrive but for right now it is a freebie as it still has not shown up as being deducted from my bank account.
