Philips EXP 200 MP3 CD Player

This Personal CD/MP3 player looks pretty cool

Unfortunately, it says, it cannot display tech info like Track Title of MP3s (I have my 1000 or so MP3 title's perfectly typed etc so this is a bummer)

Anybody know of a similar unit which WOULD display artist/track title?

Thanks,

I have a classic Mp3/cd player that shows the artist/track/album info. Pretty good mp3/cd player for under $100 only drawback is it only reads the first 200 mp3's on a cd which I have one cd thats like 13 and a half hours long and about the last ten don't play. Also it takes about 10 or 15 seconds to read an mp3 cd, but it also has 105 sec anti shock for mp3s

What I still don't get is the power requirements for the CD/MP3 players. I get 20 hours plus on two alkaline batteries on my one and a half year old Philips. New CD players can get up to 100 hours of playing time on a single charge. But a MP3/CD player can get less play time then the disk can hold. I don't see how playing a file 10 times smaller then a regular music file would take up so much power. It can't be the decoding because flash media MP3 players go for extremely long periods on only one battery.
Sorry fatboyjim for tacking on a rant to your thread.

If ID3 tags are the tech data you are referring you might want to look into these models.

Aiwa XP-Z3C MP3/8cm CD Player (finally a 8 cm format, ID3 tag support)

Panasonic SLCT790 Personal CD Player (sweetest non mp3 cd player I have seen, but it does support CDRW)

Panasonic SLMP35 Personal MP3/CD Player (ID3 tag support)

RCA RP2452 Personal CD/MP3 Player (no ID3 tag support)

Rio Volt SP50 Personal CD/MP3 Player (ID3 tag support)

Rio Volt SP90 Personal CD Player (play MP3/WMA plus ID3 tag support)

Samsung MCD-SM60 Yepp Portable MP3 CD Player (ID3 tag support)

Sony D-CJ01 Portable CD/MP3 Player (ID3 tag support)

Sony DCJ501 Personal MP3 CD Player (ID3 tag support)

CORRECTION
Sony DEJ1000 Portable CD Player (the sweetest non mp3 CD player I have seen, 115hour battery life)

Like the idea (and price!) of the Rio Volt SP50 Personal CD/MP3 Player

Any more comments on this particular player?

Thanks for all of your help

Just received this MP3 player and it is SUPERB! (RioVolt SP50)

My only comment is that the battery monitor is completely random! (But the batteries do seem to last for ages in this player)

Thanks again for the help,

Jim
