Rant: Ati support

Well, so much for the pledge from Ati to provide better support for their products.

Normally i'd not even mention this, u know , it's Ati - and that says it all; but these guys have promised better support for their products - it seems it's not customer support they had in mind.

I just had a question about a driver for my Ati tv wonder: so i wanted to ask ati about it. Take a look at their website - phone support, what they call 'Customer Care', is 1.99$ per minute.

Well, they probably have a reason for that, i thought. So i get the e-mail address and fill up some webform with the specific question and specify the category: capture.

Ok, in return to my question i get an automated response that i should look over the common problems and questions - that's all.
I'm pretty sure nobody at ati even bothers to read these emails.

And my question was where can i find the older version for the Ati tv wonder for win2000 - it has more functionality. That wouldn't be that hard to answer , would it.

end rant;

Cool

I hear you Keifir. All I got was a automated response that didn't pertain to the question for a operational issue/driver question for the TV Wonder tuner card.

try www.vcdhelp.com
Their forums (when up) are the authority on capture. Usually someone has old versions of software.
Check them out.
