palladium is stupid though. once this palladium thing takes over the world i'm switching to linux. this article talks about the new xp longhorn which is pretty interesting, and it makes a reference to terrabyte hard drives coming out in 2004

Palladium is about giving M$ and its cronies the key to your PC. Better hope that key doesn't fall into the hands of anybody with sinister motives. But, gee, that never happens, does it?

Enderle said the new file system will also function efficiently with hard drives holding at least one terabyte of data. That's 1,000 gigabytes, or well over 1,000 compressed movies, or more than 700,000 novels the size of "War and Peace." Such drives are expected to hit the market by 2004.
I want a drive like that.

You COULD have over 1000 compressed movies, and or 700,000 novels.......a very interesting simile for for something they are trying to supress. And now watch me pull a rabbit from my hat...oh wait, that's copyrighted.
