I really want to paint my case because I find that the white/cream color of the case is, well, boring. Has anyone out there painted there own case? I am aware that MaxPC did a special on this but I would like some tips on people who actually did it themselves. Where did you get your supplies? What was your technique? How did you do it?

I bought the basic hardware store brand glossy enamil spray paint at the local hardware store. I sanded the metal down until it was really smooth, then painted it. its really hard to get a smooth coat, especially outside. i dont have a garage, so it had to be outside.
do it inside, a house or a garage if at all possible. The wind makes it hard to get good coverage, and then you get dust blown in it. heres a database of case and computer modding articles, although it seems to be down right now: http://www.speedy3d.com/case_mod/links.php?cat=3 |
