Cool K-Pax anyone?

I am not an expert on movies, but I thought kpax was an underrated film. I thought the cinematography (whoever was doing the camera) and sound and everything together was very well done.

I also saw that movie. Originally I didn't want to see it because I thought it was going to be very dull and boring. However, after I saw it, it was very worth while. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

K-Pax is a very good movie and is truly underated. I think the reason is that the storyline of the movie looks like it might be on the stupid side, if all you do is go by the movie trailers. It really makes you think about the mentally ill people in the United States (even the whole Earth) and puts it in a different light and hopefully changes your thinking about the mentally ill.

I'm the one at our house that wanted to see it. I loaded everyone up and took them to the theater. They all loved it, I personally didn't care for it. It seemed more like a TV movie to me than a Hollywood production.

I enjoyed it- watched it at home on my big screen HDTV. However, I don't know if it was good enough to spend $30 or so dollars to take the family to the theater to see it. But for a home flick, it was fine.

I watched it last night, and thought it was a really good film.

I got a kick out of the obsessive-compulsive watching for the bluebird of happiness.

So tell me if I am wrong on this, but the alien was really residing in the humans body, right?

Depends on whether you believe in aliens. Was interesting that the girl flew to coop at the same time the man. . . .

I think his body was inhabited by his alien friend, and the alien inhabited him until he could find someone to take care of the him.

I don't remember that part, I'll have to see it again

BTW I thought the blue bird was Prot?

Another good movie that didn't get good media attention was Minority Report. Just saw that a few days ago

I didn't like minority report for "religious" reasons. I just don't think the universe is preordained. Could be wrong, but that is my "religious" view.

It's not, you "still have a choice" . Maybe you didn't watch the whole movie?

I watched the whole movie, but I note that most of the time there was no minority report and the minority report Cruise was investigating wasn't a minority report at all. The one time somebody was able to change the future almost involved the exchange of one extremely violent act for another by the bad guy.

Maybe I just don't believe we can look into the future, no matter how many drugs our parents might take.

CH

Of course the whole premise of the movie was that big brother could change the future by arresting bad guys before they commited their dastardly deeds.

I am very religious and I didn't have any problems with Minority Report. I can understand where you are coming from though. I don't believe everything is already laid out in the future.

However, I have some friends that are extremely religious and they do believe that the future is preordained because God has a plan and everything goes according to His plan.

There was an example of seeing into the future in the Bible....the book of Revelation. Of course that is God working through...I believe it was Paul that wrote that...can't remember right off hand.

Anyway.....I don't want to get into a religious debate here. Minority Report was just a movie...a very good movie....but just a movie none the less.

True , but you don't have to believe it to like the movie. Like Lord of the rings nobody believes in magic but its a great story

Thats the genius of the movie. The director never really shows you for sure that the main charactor is an alien. He leaves it up to the individual viewers to decide. Have you ever read the "Lady and the Tiger"?

Well, FYI, it was John during his exile on the Greek Island of Patmos. If you cared.

It wasn't the same John who wrote the Gospel. It was another John who lived a few years later. The book was written during the reign of the Emporer Nero.
