Anyone got WC3??

If you dont understand wc it means (warcraft), Its a game by Blizzard, and I have had it for a few weeks now, and before I thought it was just band practice, but I see that the game is very clunky and seems slow, I can generally keep up with ppl in games, I dont think its my connection cause I have DSL, so I think it might be my processor or memory, but I have 256, its minimum req is 128 I think, I was just wondering if maybe its just the way the game is, cause it seems very slow to me, like my processor is barely handeling it...I have all the video settings on very low, just wondering if any of you who have one of those total badass P4, 512 RAM, Geforce4 AGP graphics cards had it and has the same thing, or is it very smooth and easy to control...cause I myself to move fast need to do all hotkeys to do things fast, in my opinion...On a comparison note I also have starcraft and it is kind of like the same game, it has maps, heroes, units, buildings, stuff like that...and it runs very smooth, very easy to control

Does the single player lag?

I have WC3 on an Athlon XP 1900+, Geforce 2 MX, 512 RAM and it runs fine with all at "medium".

What type of graphics processor do you have? If its onboard that could be one of your limiting factors.

PC System Requirements
Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
400 MHz Pentium II or equivalent
128MB RAM
8 MB 3D video card supporting DirectX 8.1
DirectX-compatible 16-bit sound card
Microsoft-compatible Mouse
120 MB HD space

Remember these are the "minimum" requirements, most games need a bit more than the minimum in order to place absolutely smooth. Also how many programs are you running in the background/taskbar?

I wouldnt say its your connection, but by what you said id say your lacking in the cpu and possibly the video card department.
StarCraft runs fine for you because its not dependant on the video card like WC is, these two games content dont compare (maps, heroes, units, etc...) WC is 3D accelerated. To run WC smooth you really need atleast 32mb video ram and minimum P3 700. I have 1.4 TBird, 512DDR, 64mb GeForce3, I run WC at 1152x864x32 max settings and it runs fine. Thats definitly not the way the game runs normally as it is a very well optimized D3D game.

Yeah...My video is onboard, or atleast I think it is, I think Iits called Direct X video or something like that, I guess I do just need a video card, and yes even it single player it lags, its just that slow gameplay...guess I have to get a geForce or something
