maximize windows
Question:
Is there a way to make new Internet Explorer windows start out maximized. For example, when I click on a link that opens a new window, it starts out small and in the centre of the screen. Thanks. Tony Answer: Hi Tony. It is important that you follow these directions carefully. Start IE, right click any link on a web page, and select Open in a New Window. Go back to the first IE window you opened and close it. Return to the second window and manually drag it to fill the screen. (Do not use the maximize button, for that's a temporary setting that will not be retained.) Now press the Ctrl button, and close this second window, holding the Ctrl button depressed, using 'close' in the File menu (important!). All windows should now open maximized. i found this and thought i'de pass it on,it worked for me

Hi raftero,
I, too, have been trying to find a cure for that, but nothing has worked for me either.... Hopefully, someone will post with a working solution.... TwoRails |

The method described in the first post has always worked on my systems. Although I don't IE maximized it does always open the size I want and in the place I want.
I would say it give it another try. This time maximize it before Ctrl+ Close. I don't know if it will work for you but it can't hurt. |

Ok I might be missing something here guys but if I open IE and use F-11 to max it,and then hit the X to close it the next time I open it it's maxed. I even rebooted and tried it and still maxed out...so am I missing something ? In other words it opens the next time the way you close it.
