I used to love April Fool's Day until I married a gal that was born on April 1st. Should have been my first clue ...

It is rumored that Intel will attempt to buy controlling intrests in both AMD and Via in order to get access to advanced CPU and Chipset technology.

Yeah, got a couple. First, my best friend was invited to a high school reunion by another friend, several years ago. It was a high school my friend had not attended. He ccncocted the following plot. He pretended to be a foreign exchange student from Australia (complete with accent) who had been at the school for one year only. He would then learn (from his friend) as much about the people at school as he could and go as actual 'graduate'. From what I was told he pulled it off, chit-chatting with people, sharing actual stories of things that had happened. Apparently, no one wanted to admit they couldn't remember him, especially when his stories were so accurate.

Now me. About 18 years ago, on April 1st, I pulled off a prank that I had been plotting for about 2 years. I had been working at a hardware store part time, in college. I had been telling people, sporatically, that I was an escaped mental patient from a Kansas Psychiatric Hospital. No one believed me. So on April 1st I had two friends come into the store in white coats, l'looking' for me. When they approached my manager, I 'saw' them, began 'running away from them' throughout the store. When they finally 'caught' me, the dragged me out. Only thing missing was the straight jacket (couldn't get one). Everyone thought it was hilarious when I came back in and said 'April Fools'.

Last one, I did 2years ago. I had been telling a computer newbie friend that I was an superhacker named 'Dr. Death' and I was trying to crash all of AOL (an admirable task). I set things up by telling her this over a couple of months, responding brazenly when she would ask, "couldn't you get in trouble with the government?' "They'll never catch me," I'd say. On April 1st I sent her two emails. The first was from me, panicking, begging her to not speak to anyone from the government, that I had been caught and was going away for a long time. The second was from the FBI (I changed my name in Outlook's address section and she was such a newbie she didn't notice it was still my email address) asking questions about me, telling her that I had done some quesitonable things, and saying they would visit her at her job (the VA!) the next day. Got a panicked cell phone call from her early the next morning. At first she couldn't understand my endless laughter...

Hope these made someone chuckle.

Got my friend Derrick real good...He liked to take his parents car out late at night without permission, and they knew about, but they also knew he wouldnt do anyhting dumb, and that they would hang him if he did...so me and his parents set him up, and one night when he stole the car, I stole it from him...had him crying in his living room, then I jumped out from behind the coach and said april fools parents laughed, he got pissed...it was GREAT!

avx great prank mean but hilarious, its even better cause his parents were in on it hahaha.
well heres a good one, haven't tried it yet cause im not in college yet.
OK you gotta be living in a college with dorms. In the targets dorm you gotta have the target, and your friend.
2 Days before april fools, in the morning, put a big piece of paper over the door, the huge paper that comes on rolls. have a bunch of people out side the door waiting, when the target wakes up have your friend who stays in the door run out and jump through the paper, and have everyone there cheer like crazy when he gets through, and pretend to give him money(give the money back later when target isn't around.
the next morning, day before april fools repeat the process but with a much bigger crowd outside the door, confetti, and more money.
On april fools set up the same way but put a vending machine infront of the door(hehehe) have your friend pretend to keep sleeping and wait for target to wake up. Hopefully target will fall for the setup and go crashing into the vending machine in hopes of getting cheered.

Revenge or Double Dose
if both are actually your friends you can wait until next year and then either offer to get revenge with the first target, or get him a second time.
For revenge go back to the guy who helped you the first time. Tell him your going to pul the prank again, but dont wait to get the vending machines put it their the first time so your fellow prankster gets pranked. just so neither of your friends hate you, just watch out next year.
To double dose the same guy pretend like your going to reverse the prank with him. Next year plan with him to do the same thing with him and the 'target' will be the guy who helped you the first time, do the same thing as instructed if you were going for revenge, but this time isntead of your friend doing the first two days of leading up to april fools the actual target will tihnks hes in on the prank and do the lead up, little does he know that a vending machine will be waiting for him again, but this time on the first day. HAHAHA great prank

Hate to bring up and old post, but this years ticked my wife off so bad, I heard her swear for the first time!

There is a lady in our church who has taken it upon herself to go through the church directory, and add every person in there to her email list. She sends out at least 2-3 sappy forwards every day. We have her emails sent directly to the deleted items, anymore, so we don't even have to deal with it.

Anyway, I changed the name on my email account to reflect this womans. I then sent an email to my wife at work with the subject line of FW: FW: Hug tag!!!!! Don't Delete!!!!!

Anyway, she calls me two minutes later, and she is calling this woman all kinds of interesting new names. After I calmed her down and stopped laughing, I told her to just open it. At that point, I got called a few names. It took a few minutes, but she found the humor in it.
