Talking CPU temps "Fixed" ? WPCREDIT

i used WPCREDIT to do i little trick on my mobo. if you recall from earlier posts my 2000+ runs at 60C idle. i feel it's a thermometer problem myself, but who knows. anyhow with this hack it won't lower my load temps but it lowers my idle temps by (i think) shutting off my cpu during light usage (internet, outlook, aim, etc).

it's worked! i'm down to 47C idle. i don't really load much so i should be okay. i only play madden2002 every few days...

does anyone know if this is hard on the cpu? you know, instead of going from 60 all the time to 65 load, now it goes from 45 idle to 65 load (a much bigger jump). is that bad?

because i know you're going to ask: coolermaster performance XDream HSF @ 2200 rpm. i have one front and 1 side intake fans and 3 rear exhaust.

thx. baltman@umich.edu
