Wal Mart broke my Cd player
Listen to this. Yesterday I took my car to wal mart to get the oil changed. When I got the car back my Cd player, which is a JVC, wasn't working. First of all the faceplate wasn't even on right, so I took it off and put it back on correcty, then when I turned my car on, I tryed to take the cd out that was in it and it wouldn't come out. Then I tryed turning it off but the power button didn't work, I tryed my wireless remote and it didnt work. The weirdest part though was when I turned the knob to adjust the volume. If I tryed to turn it up it would change to track 8 on the cd and if I tryed to turn it down it would go to track 2. This wasn't just once or twice it was everytime. I finally got it switched over to radio and I couldn't change the station. The direct track buttons on the bottem didn't work either. If I pressed 1 it went to track 2, if I pressed 2 it went to 3, 3 went to 4, 4 went to 5, but 5 went to 5 and 6 went to 6. I was pretty upset since whoever worked on my car obviously did something to screw it up cause it was working perfect when I took the car in. Luckily for me, when I bought the cd player from Circuit City a little over a year ago I also bought a 2 year extended warranty (one of the only good things about Circuit City.) so I took it in and now im waiting for my replacement. Anybody have any similar stories.

In the future - eject your CD and remove the faceplate when you leave your car in others' hands.
Go back to Walmart and talk to the manager - do not accuse them of anything but make the point that their employees should keep their hands off customers' radios. |
