My wife is doing this right now, I think that a combination approach is the best, granted that the online services have lots of stuff, but you still need to talk to people for those in house openings, check the paper etc.

I posted my resume with Monster.com earlier this week, and I've had 3 calls already from companies. One of which I am interviewing with next week.
I've been working with the company I'm at since high school, so suddenly looking into changing jobs is a scarey process. |

SARGE, if you've got the skills they're looking for, it's not a bad way to go. Telcom is hot and you would have no problem. Just learn how to submit in the proper format.

Lawman, I submitted a resume but put it on hold until retired (July 12). I'm looking for maybe 20-30 hours a week and perhaps under-shooting my worth by asking for $15 an hour. I know without a doubt I'm an expert in my field...

The cost of living in Texas must be dirt cheap, or you are selling yourself WAAAAYYYY short Sarge. I would think twice that wouldn't be out of the question...even for part-time. You should have no problems finding a job. |

Just got my current job from posting my resume on monster. Was a total surprise as it had been on there for while.
