I'd like to create restore CD-R[s] with Take 2. I'd like to make a restore disks of one partition where are: Win and all progies. Here are my questions:

-Let's say I create CDR[s] on 5G partition. If I need to restore, would it work, let's say on 6G partition?
-If I create CDR[s] on ATA100 HDD partition, would it restore without any problems on let's say on ATA66 HDD partition?
-If I create CDR[s] on 5G, 10G HDD, would it restore on 5G, 13G HDD?

Also, I'd like to learn how it works restoration process.
Because, when I want to reinstall Win2000, I have to hook HDD to UDMA33/IDE 1[or 2] channel, after intalling Win2000, I install HPT366 drivers, then I switch HDD to UDMA66/IDE 3[or 4] channel.
If I use Restore CDR[s] created with Take 2, I guess, anyway I should to hook HDD to IDE[udma33], after restore I could switch HDD to IDE[udma66] channel without any problems[?].

Dunno, or I posted my Q's in right forum, but any opinions are very apreciated.

TIA

I wouldn't recommend using Take Two for NT/2000. It's designed for doing a full Win 9x system backup. The emergency restore process depends on a DOS boot disk and only works on FAT16/FAT32. It's great for backing up files, but I would not trust it to be able to properly back up and restore a complete NT/2K system.

I would look at NTI Backup Now! for what you want to do. The NT/2000 version is "coming soon".

I have never used it, but I hear that Norton Ghost has a way of Making a restore disk for most systems. So that in the event of a problem you can even boot from the CD and restore you system....

I heard that on Tech TV.

As far as your partition questions go - all those scenarios should work, because Take Two is not a "sector by sector" backup, it's a file by file backup. From personal experience, it does *not* like NTFS though.
