Crazy bet at work, need help proving

Talking about predictions and stuff, yeserday I bet there would be an Earthquak someplace today.

I need any reports or website that will list such.

any help.

I am playing the odds that there are always at least minor ones.

There are thousands of earthquakes every day. It just depends on the size.

This is the site I like for current EQ data: http://neic.usgs.gov/neis/bulletin/

Also, an interesting EQ stats page:http://neic.usgs.gov/neis/eqlists/eqstats.html

There are about 17 - 18 Mag 4.0 and higher quakes recorded by USGS per day on average. Good bet.

Interesting EQ fact: The energy of an earthquake is proportional to the magnitude as: logE = 1.5*Mag.
This means that for every increase of 2 in magnitude, the energy is increased by 1000X. [ E = 10^(1.5*deltaMag) ].
It takes 1000 Mag 5.0 EQs to equal the energy of 1 (One) Mag 7.0 EQ.
