Backup question

Does anyone know norton ghost. Someone told me that you can backup your computer on floppy since it backup the system in binary it fits more. Doesnt sound like something i heard before at all maybe someone can clear that up for me. Is there a backup thats free i can download that does it in binary? If you dont understand let me know because i dont either....

yes you can but plan on buying a couple thousand floppies, and a few months vacation

Ya figured i was told but didnt sound right but then again i dont backup my computer at home , i heard from someone that they say if you have norton ghost it backs up ur computer (not the whole computer) dont need the whole computer but since it backup in binary it takes less space. Now there ones that decompress the files and also zips them but that aint enough space for much on those disks. So only thing to do is have a rewritable cdrom drive or zip disk which my gf doesnt have.... Ok well thanks for answering my question i knew all along

The most cost effective and fastest way to back up these days is a hard drive - slaved in, removable, or external. You don't even need to buy software to do this, just copy/paste or drag and drop. I have a customer that uses 2 Firewire drives to back up his systems.
