Tricky Abit RMA...

Okay, I had an Abit NV7-133R board that I got on Sept 18 2002. I RMAed it to Abit and got back an Abit KD7-RAID as a replacement on sept 30 2003.

Now, it looks like this replacement board is DOA (I finally got enough parts together to make this secondary comp recently).

So, is the new board covered under the warranty? I have both the origonal invoice of the NV7-133R board and the RMA invoice fo the KD7-RAID board.

ABIT offers limited warranty on the hardware (the "Product") against defects in material or workmanship for a period of three (3) year from the original date of purchase for all products, purchased in the United States (excluding territories) or Canada from ABIT or ABIT authorized dealer. If your product is within two (2) years from the original date of manufacturing, or one (1) year from the original date of purchase, whichever is longer for Motherboard ... If you have the invoice of original purchase with you and your product is still within that period, we will take care of your repair for you absolutely FREE.

Since I don't hold a position of authority at Abit I cain't give a definite answer, but I would guess so. A call to Abit with someone in authority can end all guess work.
