Hey Mech users we really ought to coordinate a time where we all get logged into the forums at a predetermined time and shatter that 101 user record! What ya think?

This issue has came up before. Although I know your intention is in good faith I will bring up a few points to make you look malicioius. This is nothing personal.
The focus of these forums is to give people tech help, not to see how many people we can pack on the server at one time. If you have not noticed, our Database server has been rather "flaky" lately, and I'm sure it's not going to like 100+ people on the forums at the same time. I expect people to come here at their leisure and to not show up just to make some silly number larger. If you don't come here to get or give help, I consider your visit a waste of our server resources, even though I appriciate the ad revenue to keep the site alive for those that wish to use it for it's intended purpose. |
