Question Stuck on You Movie

Hi all,

Just got back from seeing this movie and had a question. Does anyone out there know what song the guy is singing toward the end in the Bonnie and Clyde musical? It's kind of a jazzy tune. Maybe this was written specifically for the movie, but if it wasn't I'm hoping one of you guys has heard it before and could give me the name/artist of it. Thanks in Advance.

Ok, it appears that the song that was sung by Greg Kinnear was called "Summertime".

Supposedly it's a pretty famous song. Does anyone who sang it originally?

Thanks again.

It was written by George and Ira Gershwin for the "Porgy and Bess" opera. It's been done by it seems like every artist in the world since.

I remember listening to the songs from Porgy and Bess in music in Yr 10, I loved them and remember this song.
And I couldn't agree more, it's easier counting who hasn't covered it, it seems
