Lightbulb spyware

Hey guys
Well i've been getting random pop ups, when IE isn't even up or right when i close IE and they are getting really annoying. They just keep popping up. I'm thinking, maybe they got installed onto my computer when i was looking through lyric sites and you know all those pop ups and installing things pop up or something. Well, i used adaware and spybot s & d and got rid of the things that are on my comp, but they just still keep popping up. Some of these ads are like belgiandip.com, but it doesn't show anything up and then it changes to like adpeel or something like that. Ads just come up, and its really frustrating hehe. So i'm just wondering if you guys have any suggestions on how i can get rid of them. thanks.

Did you run the updates for both adaware and spybot? With out the most current updates those programs are almost useless.

i think you need to get the current ms updates to get rid of this , it has something to do with windows messenger that runs in the background

Many of these pop ups ride in through your windows messenger. Go to control panel, open adminstrative tools, open services, right click on messenger and set it to stop.

The google tool bar has a good pop up blocker also that will get rid of other pop ups. You can also download Free Surfer, which is a free pop up blocker.

oh, doesn't turning off the messenger just stop the windows message pop ups only? these pop ups aren't those kind though. Anyways heh, i did the ms updates, but the ads still come. I'm about to do upgrade ad-aware and all, so i'll get back to you. Does those pop up blockers get rid of pop ups even when i'm not on ie? because i'm already using endpopups.com and that's only when i'm on ie.
