PcMech Conference Part 2

So what would be your main thing at the conference if it were to happen?

I said give Dok a big hug.

Here's my reasoning:
Option 1 is out because I'm under-age. Options 2 and 4, while interesting, could be done over the net. But the only way to see how quickly Dok could maul me to a bloody pulp, is in person .

I would hope people's feeling of camaraderie would outweigh their curiousness to see how fast they can get kicked out of a hotel conference room because the whole idea of this would be to put some real life interaction into the years of assistance and friendship we’ve had together, but I have this bad feeling in the pit of my stomach that most of you think you’re funny.

I would be looking to organize this whole event just to see the various reasons I've put in a lot of my free time, and emotions into this place over the past 5 years. I've built up a lot of friendships with quite a few people, and actually want to meet some of you guys face to face. I'd like to see in actuality that the effort we've all put into this isn't just meaningless and trite.

Ive only bein here a year and have grown fond of the knowledge and friendship that is present here. I would make a very big effort to meet some of yous, and enjoy a good chat.

All I need is a good month of warning in order to attend. That month would be so that I could coax the wife into thinking that this is a good thing and not an excuse to get out of the house.

I would try to get 6 months of warning at least, this is after I do the initial RSVP to determine the actual interest, which is after I do some fact-finding to figure out a suitable hotel, prices, and time-frame.

There's a lot of work to do, don't expect this until next summer at the earliest.

Looks like my option is missing. I'd just like to make the acquaintance of everybody and shake the hands and say thanx to those folks that have taught me so much.

Just wanted to mention that I also think it would be best if it were during the summer. During the rest of the year I've school to worry about, in which case I definitely could not attend.
