Simple (but dumb) question

Don't know if I'm posting in the right area but this is the question:

How do you make links in posts to go to alternate threads and such? (Yes I know it sounds dumb! lol)

when you reply, instead of using "quick reply" at the bottom, goto "post reply" button, then click on the "http://" button, you type in the text of what you want the link to say, then hit ok, then type in the address the link should point too. This will insert the correct vb code here is the FAQ on vb code!

Another tip, instead of typing the address, copy and paste it using CTRL-C (copy) then CTRL-V (paste).

I have never done that and my links always work. Is there another reason to do that?

Makes the link a LOT shorter. You can also remove the s=, I always do that.
