How to get the date to stick.
I'm usualy up to speed on this video editing thing, but this one has me a little befuddled. I have been puting my family's home movies on DVD disks for a while now, which is much simpler than VHS. The problem is that when I capture video to my computer from my Sony camcorder, the date does not capture with the video. I suppose if I used a capture card instead of 1394, it would work, but I would rather just use what I already have if possible.

Do you want it to show up in the actual video or as a filename? You can always edit it in a movie editor.
