tv hookup question (wierd problem)
hi
, we just hooked up my roommates pc to his tv. he has an ASUS V9520 GeForce FX5200 for a video card and is running winXP we set up the tv as a clone of the crt and everything worked fairly smooth, as it should. this is what happend next: fist windows media player9 gave perfect picture on an avi we where playing on the crt monitors but the place where the picture should be there's blackness. when using a diffrent player (in casu winamp 5.03) the first avi we tryed to play works perfectly. but after that winamp does the same thing that media player9 does (even when playing the file that worked). i have tryed a number of players but they all do the same thing. i am quite sure i's not a codec problem (since it does the exact same thing with anny .avi i have tried and everything works perfectly on the crt) anny sugestions welkom |

I have had the same problem. I solved it by temporarily setting the TV as the main monitor.
