Winfast tv card sound problem

Purchased a WinFast TV 2000 XP card to record tv shows like Tivo and to transfer shows from vhs to my harddrive and eventually to cd's or dvd's.

The problem is the sound from my recorded tv shows is distorted big time. The card is plugged into my mic jack on the back of the computer. I don't have a sound card and there is not a output to plug into cd sound on the motherboard on this particular model. And yes I did adjust the recording level on the sound.

Thanks in advance,

Some PC specs may help. What in/out cards do you have installed or onboard? You need a sound card with Line-In to run audio from an external source. Connect the line from your TV/Video/Amp Audio-Out to the Line-In on the Winfast card. Then connect the Line-Out from the Winfast card to the Line-In/Aux-In on a sound card. Your mic jack is too sensitive to take signals from any alternate source. I know of no other way to do it, but that doesn't mean there is no other way.
