Speaker Systems

What, in your opinion, is the best buy for a pc sound system?

I'm looking for price>performance>quality

whats the all around best buy?

thanks, pop-tart.

What kind of sound system are you looking for? Just a 2.1 set, or something more like a 5.1?

If you mean 5.1 speaker system, I'd say the Logitech z640 5.1 Speakers are hard to beat - they're 5-speaker system with a base (hence 5.1). I have them hooked up to this laptop as we speak, which is unfortunately 2 channel sound, but it sounds very nice. For 55 USD, it's a pretty good performancerice product.

Hope that helps,
kram

I'd say the Z-640's as well. For a bit more you can get the Logitech Z-5300's. As far as 2.1 systems go there are the Z-340's which I can't seem to find at the moment, the Z-2200's, or the absolute best, the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1's.

I third the Logitech recommendations, great sound and good price.
