How Do You Connect External Sound Cable -- Video Card to Sound In
I just installed an ATI All-in-Wonder 128 16 meg video card
in to my Dell Optiplex GX1 computer running Windows 2000 Pro and the TV tuner works fine but no sound. I am having trouble figuring out how to connect the external sound cable. I may have misplaced a cable but the only cables I appear to have are the: 1. S-video to s-video cable 2. Regular male to male cable 3. ATI Input Adapter 1. The video card only has s-video plugs. So do I need to purchase an s-video to regular sound cable? 2. Or is there another way to hook up the sound to the integrated sound card on the motherboard? |

You can't go from S-video to a 1/8" mini jack.
Take a look here: http://www.ati.com/support/connector...soundcard.html
