What is your mainboard brand ?
Also what do you upgrade for ? Do you want to play the newest games with a decent frame rate ? Also how much do you want to spend ? The ATI 9800 Pro would be a nice choice. It costs around $200, is pretty powerful for games, and it requires an AGP 8x slot. If you also want to watch TV on your PC or digitalize tapes, then you could go for the AIW version of the 9800 Pro which also has a TV tuner on board. RJ

I second RJ's recommendation for the Radeon 9800 Pro 128 with 256-bit. However, if you're on a lower budget, go with the Radeon 9600 Pro around 115 USD.

Almost anything will be an upgrade from what you have now. I too suggest the 9800 Pro, but the 9600Pro or 9200 will all be able to play games better than what you are now. What kind of games do you want to play?

Keep in mind that ATI recommends a MINIMUM power supply rating of 350 watts (make those QUALITY watts!) to run with a 9800 series vid card.

If your going to be gaming with 9800 Pro or 9600XT, I would recommend more RAM. The performance with these cards is great, and it would suffer a little bit because you only have 256 MB RAM.
