Unhappy Problem with Turtle Beach sound card

Hello. i seem to be having a problem with my Turtle Beach Santa Cruz 5.1 sound card. It seems to play music and mp3s fine, but when i try to play counter-strike, the sound is all crackly and lags behind the game. For example, when i fire my weapon, i will hear it shoot half a second after i fire instead of exactly when i fire (with motherboard integrated sound). I am using the drivers that came with the sound card. plz help

Try updating the drivers(SC 4193.exe) and see if that helps. Have you tried lowering the audio settings in the game, or using the games software sound drivers? EAX doesn't work well with TBSC.

i went to the device manager, and this error is on the TB SC Game port.
This device cannot find enough free resources it can use. If u want to use this device, please disable one of the other devices on this system. ( code 12) I used to use the Nforce2 onboard sound from my motherboard, and i didnt uninstall them before i installed my santa cruz. how do i uninstall them?

Do you have the onboard disabled in the bios?

Agreed. Running OB sound and TBSC could result in errors
