Video card software freezes when trying to install drivers

I'm trying to install the drivers for my 9800 Pro card. I followed the instructions from the manual but when I click on the install button the CD sounds like its loading then it stops, and then it starts loading, and then it stops and it continues like that endlessly. I end up having to close the program the hard way. What can I do for this to install correctly. Is my installation CD defective?

Quite possibly a problem with the install program on the CD

http://www.ati.com/support/driver.html

You can download drivers direct from there,

Cheers

Thanks for the help. In my mania I didn't really check the CD, but when I turned it over I saw that it was very badly scratched. I went to Best Buy with my box, cd, and receipt, and they exchanged my CD for another in another box.
