Wanting to buy a digital camcorder, need help.
Im in the market for a new digital camcorder. I just need some help deciding which one would be best for me. My price range is about $300-$400. Im going to be using it mainly for recording wakeboarding and snowboarding. I dont have firewire so it needs to be able to hook up to my computer with usb. Image stabilization would be nice but not necessary, same with nightvision. If im forgetting any details let me know. thanx.

Very few digital camcorders will transfer video via USB. And those that do you'll only get 320x240 @ 15fps. A IEEE1394 card isn't expensive - around $30 so make the investment.
For a camera, look at the ZR series from Canon. They're rugged as all heck and have great optics. If you're going to be near snow and/or water, look to invest in a water-proof assy as well. Dave. |
