a new problem with audio ?

Hello

recently i tried to play a MP3 file from a CD but i didnt hear any sound
and i got this messege by clicking on the file:

"Cannot play back the audio stream:no audio hardware is available ,or the hardware is not responding"

Can anyone please tell me why am i getting this messege?

Means your sound card isn't working, either it's come unplugged inside or the drivers have failed

Is there anything listed under Sound, Video and Game Controllers in Device Manager? If so, can you list them here?
