Computer Audio to Stereo
How would go about playing the audio files on my computer directly on my stereo?

You will need to get a mini stereo jack to RCA adapter. Plug the mini stereo plug into line out of you sound card and the RCA ends to an AUX input to your stereo.

Depending on your setup there could be a bunch of different ways to do it. The easiest though would be to get a cable (can't remember the exact name but it has the 1/8 inch plug on one end with the two standard RCA style plugs on the other.) and plug the 1/8 inch into your sound out on the computer, plug the other two into the inputs on your stero.
Edit: Flanzig beat me to it. |

It is a very simple thing to do. The simplest way would be to use a cable like THIS. If your stereo has a digital input and your sound card has a digital output you could use a either a 75OHM coaxial cable or a Toslink optical cable depending on the type of connection each device has.
