Xtasy 9600xt 128mb major problem Plz help

I just built a new computer and for some reason it won't recognize my xtasy 9600xt 128mb Agp video card. I have tried other agp video cards and they all work fine, and i checked this video card in another computer and the video card works. But they won't run together.

I have been trying to fix what the problem is for the last couple days and I am not getting anywhere.

The motherboard is a ECS 915p-a and it has a agp express slot.

Any help is greatly appreciated

re-sit the video card again. I have a feeling that your video card is dead

Is that the board that has both pci-express slots and an AGP slot ?
Does the manufacturer recommend any specifc AGP cards for it ?

edit : What were the cards that worked in that board? That will give you a clue as to what the problem is.
For now it sounds like you've got 2 components that just won't play together.

I'm starting to think thats exactly what it is. Because the video card will work in other computers and the agp will work with other video cards.
Is there any way to make them compatible.

My only problem with it is that i have put other radeons and xtasy radeons in the computer and they all worked fine.

So then i figured that maybe the board wasn't compatible with agp express, but then how are these old stock video cards from my 1999 NEC computer running in the agp.

Now I did try putting in a pci and the agp board in question.

The pci board was an xtasy 9200 256mb and it rad just fine. I did it to see if i could initiate or turn my monitor over to the agp board in case it wasn't enabled.
But when i went to display settings it wasn't even recognizing that an Agp video card was attached.
I'm starting to think i'm going to have to buy another video card.

Something has to go then.
I think an e-mail to ATI and another to ECS may also be in order since you've found an "issue".
