Is this a good video card trade? 9200vs9800pro

Ok, im planning on trading my 9800 pro to my friend which melted most of his vid cards by tweaking it. I don't plan on playing any new games, but I do play cs.. and possibly cs source. He is willing to give me $100 and his 9200 pro 256 mb Built by ATI for my 9800pro 128mb.. Is it worth it? His 9200 pro 256mb is about a week old untweaked. Should that be good enuff to get 100 fps in cs and good quality movies? Also, I want to take this a step further.. I was planning on buying another vid card and selling the 9200 256mb for more money and buying another videocard to replace it. (there was a local advertiment..a ati 9500 pro 128mb used for $50) So i would have a $150 totall profit.(they might of run out of 9500s.. so is there another card like this and for the same price?) if not.. i could always wait a year and buy my 9800 pro back for $60 or something.

So hows the deal? Should it be more negeotiated? Is there another card that I can buy while selling the 9200 256mb and still fit my needs?

Btw.. my comp specs.. winxppro
1000 ddr ram
160 gb hd.
3.06 ghz.

Your tweak prone pal has probably discovered the 9200 is locked and can't be oc'd. It's rated as a DirectX 8 card too, not DX9. You've already got the best card. Why give it up to shuffle some bucks around? The 9500's aren't much better. Just my opinion but I'd keep the 9800.

I agree with PR. The 100 USD trade in IMO, not that good a deal - Radeon 9200 go around 70 USD, Radeon 9800 Pro goes around 200. Go ahead and keep the Radeon 9800 Pro and suggest to him the Radeon 9500 Pro - it's a great card and can play games quite well, despite its being a 128-bit card, probably the best 128-bit card ATI has.

Hope that helps,
kram
