Which vid card is better?

Hi I have 2 older video cards which is the better to use:

1) NVIDIA VANTA LT (AGP) it has 4 chips on the card, I don't know if that means it = to 4MB ram?.

and

2) ATI 3D RAGE II + DVD it appears to have 8 chips on it, perhaps 8MB ram also?..

Anyways which of these 2 cards which U say to the better of the two.

thks

Wow...those are old. I'd go with the Rage II, for the fact I've never heard of the Vanta.

What is it going to be used for? Niether of those card will play any games released in the last 4 years. If you aren't playing games it really doesn't matter which you choose.

I'd say that the Rage is better just simply because I've never heard of a Vanta, and I like ATI better.

It depends on what the PC will be used for. If he's just going to be doing websurfing, office work, etc., then he doesn't need a great card. But if he is going to be doing gaming on the PC, then I'd agree with you.

I am actually just doing some general things w/ the PC some 2d Autocad LT would be the most extensive. Mostly internet etc.

I asked the quest. as the 2 cards, one is AGP, NVIDIA and the ATI is not. I am not if tere is any difference between using the two.

In as much as I appreciate some comments re: buying another video card etc., as I had said b4, I have only what I work with! (unfortunately)

thks again
