well not exactly problems. i just reinstalled windows on my replacement HDD (the second replacement) and installed drivers and the driver keeps on telling me its using PCI x0. I'm going to install far cry and see if it has any problems but seems ok.

A card can easily go bad. What is the manufacturer? What is the brand/wattage of your power supply? When I bought my current card, a Gainward GeForce 4 4800se, a while back the first one lasted all but one week before ALL 3D things started looking like THIS. The replacement lasted three months. Since Gainward is known for making quality cards I was suspecting something else to be the cause. Before I put a third card in I bought a new power supply because I was using a PowMax at the time. I have had the third card and the new Enlight power supply installed and working flawlessly for over a year now.

ionno my video card works fine. i just played far cry on maxed out settings at 1280x786 resolutions. i'd go higher but i'm afraid my monitor is so old that the refresh ratings kill the FPS.

gainward
its a gainward 6800gt and my psu is a thermaltake 480w,since this card is recommended for a least a 350psu,and yea im getting some of the sparkling pixels, but im also getting some of the graphics just blinking in and out and this was a progessive problem over a 4 day period.the reason i picked gainward was because of its rep.
