I'm building a home media pc which will be for 1) general computing; 2) gaming; and 3) running the home entertainment (TV capture, movies, DVD's music library etc.). I plan on connecting to a TV but am concerned about losing graphics from an otherwise screaming graphics system. Also concerned about resolution issues on the TV. Want to game on the big screen. Thoughts on a quality TV or am I stuck with the biggest monitor I can find?

Your best bet would be an HDTV with a DVI input. It won't be as good as a regular monitor when it comes to text and web browsing but for gaming and obviously TV it would be great.
